Of course, the barcode / Qr code can contain variables that are changed by the program to be opened. This also depends on the settings of the woodscan/barcode mixer programs. On machines(pc85/pc86) without a barcode mixer program, barcode adjustment is done directly in Beleg by pressing (f11) on the production list. In this case, menus (variables, barcode) open up in the main menu, where adjustments are made. In this case, the number of variables is limited to 10 variables.

The right kind of script, so the number of variables can be almost limitless, of course there must be some common sense here as well.
I have made solutions in which almost thirty variables have been exported. This was the manufacture of the door, where the parameters were used to regulate almost everything that could be associated with the doors. (hinge model, quantity, lock model, quantity, left / right, size, equipment, etc.)

The second picture shows the settings from a machine where there is no barcode mixer program and only one machining area. Generally, for machines with more than one machining area, a barcode is made so that the first reading of the barcode is by program selection, as well as the parameters. The second read of the barcode tells the machine where the program is reserved.

By script, I meant that in that solution I was telling, the machines were old and made for line use. It had to modify the original script a bit to be able to read all the variables. In that solution, a CSV list line was sent to the machine that contained all the necessary information for the program. Newer machines can do this without editing the script.

reading the barcode directly into beleg required a license. On older machines, the barcode reader can be connected directly to the com port. Newer machines do not have a com port, so then the reader will be attached to the usb port. Almost any reader that gets attached to the usb port can be a barcode reader. The barcode reader just needs to be the so-called virtual com-port mode and needs the right kind of driver.

I've installed at least a Newland branded reader with drivers and at least it works. Of course, you still need a license from Homag if you want to read the data directly into beleg. Otherwise, you can test it 50 times
